Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry equips children with the knowledge and understanding of God's love and the assurance that by the blood of Jesus Christ, they have direct access to the throne of God. The ministry provides opportunities to spread the Good News of Christ, educate them about their Christian responsibility to live holy, to be a becon in the dark, and to always put Christ first in their lives. This is accomplised through in-reach, outreach, and fellowship projects and events.
ChoirThe choir at New Hope UMC is a very integral part of worship. The choir welcomes anyone who has the desire to sing and be a part of a fun group. Choir practice is each Saturday evening at 5:00 PM. We are always looking for new members and would love for you to join us.
Communications CommitteeThe Communications Committee continually develops a dynamic ongoing process of communicaitons, which guides the congregation in its mission and ministry of making disciples for Jesus Christ. The ministry assists the church in external communications and enhances the multimedia tools used internally to minister to all seeking God's Word.
Cub Scouts Pack 355Cub Scouts is a year-round family program designed for boys in the 1st through 5th grades. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. New Hope's Pack 355 is led by James Hampton and their weekly meeting are every Tuesday from 7-8 PM. All boys interested are welcome to join. Singles MinistryThe Singles Ministry allows God to use the singles in Christ as living, witnessing vessels to serve New Hope and the surrounding community by showing the impact of living God-centered lives.
United Methodist Men
The purpose of United Methodist Men is to declare the centrality of Christ in every man’s life, to promote the spiritual growth of men through effective discipleship, and to model the servant leadership of Christ in our daily lives.
United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Ushers
The mission of the Usher’s Ministry is to provide a sincere genuine welcome, and to insure the accommodation of comfort and safety to those who worship with us; to glorify God through service and extend the service to the church community, by fulfilling the duties and privileges of serving as an usher. "For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tent’s of the wickedness."--Psalms 84:10.
Youth Fellowship Ministry
The Youth Fellowship Ministry pursues projects that strengthens the young adult and youth ministries by giving them the opportunity to be an advocate for free expression of their convictions on issues vital to them. This ministry initiates and supports plans, activities, and projects that are of particular interest to younger members in the church and the community.
Youth Inspirational Choir
The Youth Inspirational Choir is a project undertaken by the New Hope United Methodist Church Youth Fellowship Ministry. It is an opportunity for the children and youth of our church and community to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The choir's musician is Byron Hallman and its directors are Tonya Alford and Kawana (Vet) Washington. |
