New Hope United Methodist Church was awarded the first place trophy for their float in the Rowland Annual Christmas Parade and Festival.

For the 10th year, Ms. Emma Burns, with assistance from church members, friends and businesses in the community, coordinated entrance into the parade.

"My work with the youth and the Town of Rowland is a labor of love. I look forward each year to working with our youth and serving my church and the Town of Rowland", said Burns.

New Hope’s pastor, Rev. Larry Robinson, was elated by the church’s achievement and continued growth in the church. He is especially excited by the church’s increased outreach to the Rowland community.

“I commend our children and those who supported them in this event”, said Pastor Larry Robinson.
